Chagrin Falls Ohio War monument of 1867
This war had many names, here it was named the Rebellion of 1861-65. Cleveland's monument is for the War for the Union 1861-1865 (Woodland Cemetery). Both are in Cuyahoga County.Lincoln, a Martyr to Liberty
The lion's share of military men were infantry. This monument identified local members of the infantry, cavalry, and artillery. Most of the dead young men. But details in a single line tell us more. There were black [colored] members of the Union Forces - T.W. Pratt, Adj't Col'rd Reg't aged 25 years.
Some men were not young - Zophar Randall, Musician 1862 aged 65 years.
Thomas Scott private died 1863, 52 years.
